Our Favorite June Picture Books ๐Ÿ“š

Published 20 days agoย โ€ขย 1 min read

Hi Reader,

It's summer booklist time!

The June Picture Booklist includes frogs, turtles, foxes, ponds, and some early-summer outdoor adventuring.

A few favorites from the list:

โ€‹Beyond the Pondโ€‹

For kids who can't get enough of Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen's Sam and Dave Dig a Hole. An imaginative take on what lies right outside, if only we let our imaginations go free.

โ€‹Duck Says Don't!โ€‹

Funny, funny, funny.

Duck is just trying to keep order on the pond. Will he succeed?

โ€‹

โ€‹Albertโ€‹

This one is new to me, and what a delight it is! Read it aloud when you've got a child complaining that the weather isn't just right for playing. ;)

โ€‹They All Saw a Catโ€‹

What do you see when you see a cat? This is a fun read-aloud any time of year, but especially just before a stroll around the neighborhood, where you might just see . . . well, you know. :)

You know where to find the rest! Head here to see them all and to grab the free printable list.โ€‹

Hi Reader, Fairy tales are the stories that shape so many of our childhoods, but they are more than just whimsical tales for children. They often hold deep, gospel truth and offer profound insight into the Christian life. They have the power to inspire hope, ignite courage, and spark delight . . . . . . not only our children, but in us, too. Fairy tales aren't merely stories, theyโ€™re vessels of light in our modern world. In the newest Read-Aloud Revivalยฎ podcast, I talk about why fairy tales...
